Grade EN 1.4948
Grade EN 1.4948
Material 1.4948 / AISI 304H is an austenitic stainless steel and belongs to the classic 18/8 chromium-nickel steel group. Material 1.4948 / AISI 304H is closely related to material 1.4301 (AISI 304), but differs in its increased carbon content of approximately 0.04 to 0.10%, which is specifically used to improve heat resistance. This chemical adjustment gives material 1.4948 / AISI 304H significantly higher strength at elevated temperatures and makes it particularly suitable for applications in the high-temperature range.
NICROMAL supplies material 1.4948 / AISI 304H as sheet metal, round steel, pipe, ring, round stock, or custom-made parts according to your specifications.
