Grade EN 1.4762
Grade EN 1.4762
Material 1.4762 / AISI 446, also known as SICROMAL 12, is a ferritic stainless steel that is characterised by very good heat resistance and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for applications in process engineering, power plant construction, heating furnaces and turbine components. 1.4762 / AISI 446 has excellent resistance to sulphurous gases at high temperatures, especially under reducing conditions. Material 1.4762 is more resistant to scaling than 1.4742 due to its increased chromium content.
1.4762 is scale resistant up to approx. 1150°C.
We supply stainless steel 1.4762 from stock as cold-rolled or hot-rolled sheet, round steel , rings, discs, tubes made from sheet or drawing parts according to your specifications.
