Grade EN 1.4742
Grade EN 1.4742
Material 1.4742 / AISI 442, also known as SICROMAL 10, is a high-quality martensitic stainless steel that was developed for applications that require high heat resistance, wear resistance and mechanical strength. Due to its increased chromium content, 1.4742 is more scale-resistant than material 1.4724. Material 1.4742 is scale-resistant up to approx. 1000°C and is therefore used in high-temperature applications such as furnace construction, hot machining, tool manufacture and in power station-related applications in which materials have to withstand high mechanical loads and temperatures.
We supply stainless steel 1.4742 from stock as cold or hot rolled sheet metal, rings, discs, tubes made from sheet metal or drawing parts according to your specifications.
