Due to its high molybdenum content of approx. 2%, material 1.4435 is an austenitic steel that is resistant to many forms of corrosion. Due to its outstanding hygienic properties and high polishability and the associated ability to achieve an excellent surface finish, material 1.4435 is frequently used in the pharmaceutical industry, research, food industry and water treatment in the form of medical devices or fittings.
We supply stainless steel 1.4435 to Basel Standard 2 from stock as cold or hot-rolled sheet, round steel, rings, tubes, discs or drawing parts according to your specifications.

Basel Standard 2 (BN2) describes the special material requirements for 1.4435 in accordance with DIN 17440 with significantly tighter analysis limits for the alloy content and a defined delta ferrite content of less than 0.5%.
