Stainless Steel
Grade EN 1.4162
Grade EN 1.4162
Material 1.4162 / X2CrMnNiN22-5-2 or UNS S32101 is a low-alloy lean duplex steel with good resistance to general corrosion, intergranular corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, erosion corrosion, and corrosion fatigue. 1.4162 offers a high yield strength. However, material 1.4162 is not resistant to seawater (PREN = 24.8 – 26.8).
NICROMAL supplies material 1.4162 as cold- or hot-rolled sheet.
